Listen the new album of Natanael Ramos: Garajonay Suite

You can now get Natanael's new album with Orquesta de Jazz del Atlántico and Fabiola Socas: Garajonay Suite.
The idea of this suite arises during a small retreat on the island of La Gomera in March 2019. Since then it has evolved to become a work of almost thirty minutes, with a line up of twenty musicians. This work has been the most significant compositional challenge I have ever faced, which has involved a whole creative learning process. Throughout this process, I have been able to discover in another way the work of the Canarian authors Isabel Medina and Josefina de La Torre, a source of inspiration for El Lamento de Gara and San Borondón. I hope that, as a listener, you can enjoy this experience and alleviate the emotional burden that surrounds our society in these awkward moments of March 2020. Hopefully, in the future, we can continue to enjoy this and many other works, and remember, with humour, this situation that surrounds us.
Garajonay Suite is the result of an arduous individual and collective effort of each one of the people involved in its elaboration: musicians, technical team, political leaders, cultural technicians, and the employees of the restaurants and hotels that have taken care of everyone.
I would like to especially thank Fabiola Socas for her creative and vocal contribution, Judian for her advice on the Silbo Gomero and to contact Itahisa (our whistler) and the guest musicians of the orchestra (thank you Paco, Julio, Jonay, Aleida and Elisa!). And of course, thanks to the great musicians of the Orquesta de Jazz del Atlántico in these concerts (Leo, Julian, Luisi, Jonay, Cristo, Santi, Pablo, Adán, Jose, Sergio, Fernando, Óliver, Joel, Nasim, Juan Carlos and Francis). Thanks to Jose for making us sound good, to Alejandra for "solving the last minute problems", to my family and friends for their constant support and to you, Marta, for being the Gara that has inspired me all this time.
Finally, I would like to thank you, our listener and follower, for your constant support from the applause to the acquisition of this EP, through the comments after the concerts or on social networks. From the first moment, from the Atlantic Jazz Lab, we have designed this project to bring you the highest degree of excellence and enjoy this beautiful music to which we are dedicated.
